CAQASEOBot
CAQASEOBot is the crawler that reads web pages for CAQA SEO site audits and page checks. If you have seen it in your server logs, this page explains what it does and how to control it.
How it identifies itself
Requests carry this user agent:
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; CAQASEOBot/1.0; +https://seo.caqa.com/bot.html)
How it behaves
- It visits a website only when someone using CAQA SEO audits or checks that website.
- It follows the rules in your robots.txt file, including crawl delays.
- It reads a few pages at a time and pauses between requests.
- It does not fill in forms, sign in or try to reach private areas.
How to block or slow it
To stop CAQASEOBot visiting your whole website, add this to your robots.txt file:
User-agent: CAQASEOBot Disallow: /
To slow it down instead, add a crawl delay in seconds:
User-agent: CAQASEOBot Crawl-delay: 5
