How to read your site audit
What the health score means, how to prioritise errors, warnings and notices, and where to start.
The health score
The score sums up how many pages are free of problems, weighted by how serious the problems are. It is a guide to progress over time, not a ranking factor in itself.
Errors, warnings and notices
Errors stop pages working or being indexed and should be fixed first. Warnings hold pages back. Notices are worth knowing about but rarely urgent.
- Errors: broken pages and links, duplicate titles, server errors
- Warnings: missing descriptions, thin content, slow pages
- Notices: improvements and things to check are intended
Fix by template, not by page
Many issues come from one template. A missing description on every blog post is usually one change in the template, not hundreds of edits.
Watch the changes view
After each audit, the changes view shows new problems and fixed ones. A sudden jump in errors usually means a recent change to the website.

Developers want the page list and the fix. Managers want the score and the trend. Export the list for the first and send a report to the second.
